Customers have 45 days from the date of purchase to return video games, accessories, systems, computer software, VHS, DVD, music electronics, radio control cars, trading cards, collectibles, consumer electronics and breast pumps.
The original dated receipt is required for a refund or exchange, and the item must be returned in its unopened and factory sealed package. If the item has been opened, it can only be exchanged for an identical item when accompanied by a dated receipt. Refunds and exchanges will not be given without a dated receipt.

Tips & Tricks for Getting your Kids to Bed on Time

This morning I was greeted with an email from TwitterMoms and www.DramaU.net, it really got me thinking about a problem many parents have: Getting their children to bed. While I do struggle with this problem, I find it easier on Christmas Eve, because of the activities we do during that day.

Here is the question at task:

"As a parent, you know how difficult it can be to get your child to go to bed at night and stay in bed all night - especially during the exciting holiday times! We would love to hear from you. What are your five tips & tricks for getting your kids to bed on time and getting them to stay in bed? Do you have special routines or rituals? Any tricks on getting kids to slow down and become sleepy? What do you do if they wander out of bed during the night? What works for your family?"

That is our Christmas Eve routine:

1. The first thing I do is wear them out :) Once I get home from work, we start making our own pizzas.

2. After dinner a good game of bowling or a movie is fun. We can spend time together as a family, before we have to spend the next few days with extended family.

3. We then head over to "Candy Cane Lane" to view the lovely lights. (At this point some may already be asleep.)

4.Then we head home and the children get to open one present, selected by mommy. It just happens to be jammies (who knew??).

5. Then its bath time and then get to put on their new jammies.

6. The girls then put out cookies, milk, and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.

7. We conclude the night with a few books and if it isn't too late maybe a movie playing.

With years of bedtime dilemma's, I have found that a routine works best. This is how we prepare for bedtime throughout the rest of the year.

1. Homework, Dinner, & Clean-up

2. Family time, whether we play a game, with toys, or watch a show.

3. Bath time & Jammies

4. Snack & Glass of Water

5. We then conclude the night with a book... and maybe play a movie.

So either plan is a basic of following a routine. Sometimes we get out of swing of things, but most of the time, it works.

5 Favorite Fun & Frugal Activities to do with the Kids during the Holidays

With Thanksgiving just a few days away and Christmas not far ahead, I have been considering fun and frugal activities to do with my girls around the Holidays. When TwitterMoms and Nickelodeon introduced this blogging question as part of a Dora Christmas Carol Contest, I couldn’t resist sharing my thoughts.

Here are 5 things our family does throughout the Holiday season:

1. Who doesn’t like playing games? 

My favorite thing growing up was, all the kids would gather together and we would pull out the board games and play. We could play though all the games, one by one.

With all the deals on board games lately, I have been interested in expanding our games closet with all the fun games I remember playing (Battleship, Monopoly, Connect 4), along with all the new ones they create (Elefun, Connect 4x4, Partini).

2. Who is in charge of placing the angel on top of the tree? 

Of course, the day after Thanksgiving is our traditional day to put up our Christmas tree. Although, it does take a lot of self control for me to not break down and put it up earlier than Thanksgiving.

I love this time with the family. It seems like it is all smiles as everyone works together to make this beautiful addition to the family room décor. Then you get the next month (maybe two :) ) to be in awe over it.

3. What is your tradition on Christmas Eve?

I have heard the most wonderful Christmas Eve traditions throughout the years. Some traditions are passed along generation to generation and some families create their own traditions.

Our family traditions are no exception. When I was growing up, we would beg and beg my parents to let us open just one present on Christmas Eve and so I have integrated this tradition into our family. The children open one gift every Christmas Eve (which happens to always be pajamas – shhh – I’m sure they will catch on one day), they change and then we all work together to make our Christmas Eve pizzas, for dinner.

4. Do you think all the children will pose with Santa this year?

It is always a lot of fun to head down to the mall and get pictures taken with Santa (and one of his reindeer last year!!) The girls are so excited as we finally get up to Santa. They are picture perfect in their best Holiday dresses, hair in ribbons and pig tails. They hop up on Santa’s lap, with a sparkle in their eyes, tell him just how wonderful they have been this year and pose with the biggest smiles on their faces and off we go…

…. Yeah right! Usually they are impatiently standing in a line (which has 200 other families with their kids nicely behaving) pulling their hair out of their pigtails (which took 2 hours to get them all finished) all to get up to Santa… and one runs off screaming, the other one has a “I don’t have to look at him, talk to him, or smile… but I will stand by him, as long as its 8 feet away” attitude, and then finally my oldest (who has already been through all of these stages) will actually get on his lap and I might get a picture, but it’s nothing to write home about. But we do this every year, not because it ever works out how it’s supposed to, but because the children do get really excited about it.

5. Santa makes a list and checks it twice, have you?

Of course I saved my favorite fun and frugal activity for last… writing letters to Santa. Each year we collect the toy books from Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us. The children then each get a different colored crayon and go through the catalogs and pick out their favorite toys (not very often that EVERY SINGLE TOY isn’t circled).

Then, we begin writing our letters to Santa. I usually print out the formal greeting, “Dear Santa,” on some adorable Christmas bordered paper and let them write out their lists. Of course it has always been a jumbled mess of letters and scribbles, but I reassure them Santa can read their letters. In the past, we have cut out a few of the toy pictures from the catalogs and pasted them on the letters or they have even drawn the pictures themselves.

I find this my favorite activity because we spend time together being creative, the children talk about Santa, the best… the don’t fight and argue about who has which color crayon… because Santa will know they are being bad.

When they are finished, we then send the lists off to Santa (or sometimes bring them to him at the mall).

It started back in '92 when my parents took us three girls to Disney World. I instantly loved everything about it... well except the part where my parents wouldn't let me ride Splash Mountain. :(

So of course, in 2007, I took my three girls to Disney. We had a split stay between a condo in Madeira Beach and the All Stars Music Disney Resort. The girls were young (two under three) so we planned one very long (and exhausting) day at Magic Kingdom.

At the end of the day, my life was never going to be the same... I knew I had to have another Disney vacation and the sooner the better. Well finances never did allow me to plan that second trip. Lots of things changed, we moved, and I met my husband, Jeff.

So I started doing a little honeymoon research and guess what I found... yup, Disney World. I remembered a few years back how I thought it was so weird that a guy I knew was going to Disney World on his honeymoon. I thought, isn't Disney for kids?? (What was I thinking, lol) And of course, my wonderful husband (then fiancé, obviously) agreed to my Disney Honeymoon fantasy.

Well we took that trip this past September... and you guessed it... every minute since, I have been dreaming of our next trip, this time with the three girls. They are ages 4, 5, & 7 now, so it will cost a little more. Plus I have stars in my eyes and want to eat at Cinderella's castle. What better way that to make it seem like it’s all planned for them?? :) I want them to have the best trip and get to do all the things I wish I would have been able to do when I was little. Are we thinking Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique? Hehe.

I don't know if we can financially pull out all the stops, but I have been working on it. One thing I have done is join Sunshine Rewards. This is a wonderful site, made up of (mostly) Disney lovers who take surveys, read emails, get paid clicks, tons of offers, cash back on shopping, and contest. The best part is that you can cash out at $20 increments for Disney Gift Cards (plus PayPal, Wal-Mart Gift Cards, Restaurant Gift Cards, etc.)

I have been really excited about them and have managed to save up $69 in two months. I have a goal of $400 before September.

Another thing I have been doing is purchasing items at Disney Store (through Sunshine Rewards and get 4% cash back). I have ordered princess costumes (to soften the BBB bill times three girls) down to pajamas to wear at Disney.

I have even worked on making them customized Autograph book through Kodak Gallery (Click here to get your $15 gift - limited time) and just paying $2 shipping!

Oh and one of the best things, I plan to book my Disney package through Mouse Unlimited. They are an affiliate with Sunshine Rewards ... which will net me 1% cash back on my package. Where can you get a deal like that?

Overall, I am really excited about our Disney vacation. I have 10 months to go, but boy does time fly when you are saving money the Sunshine way :)

Do you often feel the Holiday stress? I'm not talking about getting the gifts wrapped or the turkey in the oven. How about the "company is coming and I need to get this house cleaned!"? That's when I get the most stress.

I came across a neat blog called, "The Green Cleaning Coach" and she has came up with a great idea... 20 Day Clean-up to Thanksgiving.

Her blog says, "You will get a daily plan to get and keep your home clean for the big family day- with days set aside for shopping and even one day to relax! Sound like a plan! That's the secret - having a plan and sticking to it. So join us every day until Thanksgiving and your home will be clean for guests and you will be stress free and ready for your family and the next holiday celebration!"

Day 17 - The Small Appliances - they all need a good scrub. Your going to have people in your kitchen trying to help you, so let's make it look like everything is always really clean.

Day 18 - The Microwave - here's a green trick. So one of your guests is nice enough to bring a side dish for dinner, but they need to warm it up in your microwave.

Day 19 - The Refrigerator - Let's green clean out that box. You want to empty out your refrigerator so we can make room for everything we will need for the big day.

Day 20 - The Guest Bathroom - Let's get that bathroom that the guests will be using clean now- and then we can keep it clean with a wipe of a blue microfiber cloth and a quick vacuum!

Oh wow... I just found the coolest site! Being a full time working mom, I often get the "what to make for dinner" problem. Well... I remember having this problem even when I wasn't a mom.

Anyway, I stumbled across this really cool website that basically calculates a weeks worth of dinners and even a grocery list. What is really great and set this program aside from any others I have seen, is that you log on to Relish! and then customize your weekly dinner menus to your own tastes. You can even choose the Express Menu and download their picks for the week or choose what you would prefer from our Custom Menu.

Think your family might be too picky of eaters? They actually offer a selection of vegetarian, kid-friendly, quick, low calorie and simple-gourmet menus. Then all you do is choose the five you’d like to prepare during the week and your recipes/side dishes and grocery list will be assembled for you!

Seriously how wonderful is that? By planning ahead, you are saving time and money.

The subscription to Relish! is only $7 a month, which considering how much time you save and fast food you aren't feeding your family... I find it very worth the money!

I absolutely LOVE a good deal! And with Christmas time approaching, I need a GREAT deal.

I have ALWAYS wanted to send out the "photo cards" with a wonderful family picture. Most of the times I find these offers at the photography studio (JcPenney's, Sears, even Wal-Mart), but I felt they were overpriced. Well I was searching on one of my favorite websites, Vistaprint.com , and found you can get 10 FREE photo cards (excluding shipping)! You just can't beat free :)

So I have decided to go ahead with this deal and take you through the steps.

Step 1: Follow this link, which includes the code for FREE photo cards.
Step 2: Choose your design/size. Do you want a 5 x 7 photo card or a photo collage card? I chose the photo card.
Step 3: Takes you to many different designs to choose from. Choose which one you would like.
Step 4: Add a picture(s) to your photocard.
Step 5: Edit the sayings for the front and back.
Step 6: Continue and this is where is asks you if you would like the 10 FREE cards or pay extra for upgrades. (I chose the 10 free.)
Step 7: It will go through a few pages of "upgrades" and you can generally pass all that by clicking on your shopping cart.
Step 8: You now have two options. First being that you go forth with your order and pay the shipping charges of $6.41 (choose "slow"-I have always received my orders within 10 days.) I have three daughters, ages 7 and under, who love anything Disney, so I can expect that this DVD will make it to one of their Christmas lists.
